What A Week
15/5/21 17:50Wow, it's been a week and a half, first of all, Steve has had his knee replacement moved up six months so it's now being down next month and in a private hospital no less. It's still covered under Medicare so it will be done for nothing. Must be coming into an election year, after the pathetic budget with so many people pissed off I think the government is trying to bribe us into liking them. It looks like they may call an early election. Yes, I am that cynical. Still, I am glad that Steve's knee is getting done.
Speaking of hospitals, my poor little grandson in New Zealand had to get a cyst removed from his stomach. I called today to see how he was doing, he is recovering now, brave little guy he is.
Also, my youngest daughter and newest grandson have been staying with us for the weekend which is nice.
Steve and I are still volunteering but he has been working with one of the social workers there and he does not like her at all. I am used to her, she can be very bossy and stress-y at times but I am used to it, Steve on the other hand, not so much so I am not sure if he is still going to volunteer on Thursdays now or not. I will continue to do Thursdays because two of my favourite volunteers are back now and I love working with them. We were planning on going up the coast for a few days next week but we can't now because Steve's pre-op check is next week so we may go away the week after depending on the weather which has turned very cold now. Brrr.
So not a bad week, a few things happening, but mostly good. :-)
