We Are Back
23/3/24 18:13Steve and I had a wonderful time away. We stayed in Port Douglas and we went to The Great Barrier Reef, Green Island where I did some snorkeling and we went on a glass bottom boat. The reef is amazing and so full of marine life. We saw a reef shark, a couple of dugongs, a stingray, and a huge turtle.
We tried to drive to the Daintree Rain forest, but the roads were still severely damaged by Cyclone Jasper so we are going to leave that and Cooktown for another visit. We did go on the Skyrail and it was amazing.
It was great catching up with my sister, niece, her girlfriend, and everyone. We all had fun going to the eateries and down to the beach.
I think next time, Steve and I are going to fly. As much as we loved the drive, it was too much for us even over two days.
I have to say though, it is nice to be back.
