It's been a pretty busy week, mostly medical appointments for Steve and myself. I had to have a CT scan this morning and I am still waiting to hear from the hospital for the colonoscopy and the endoscopy. I am getting them through the hospital because they are covered by Medicare. It also turns out that Steve definitely does have Angina, our doctor has given him a spray to use when the pain is bad. It does work so it should give him some relief. At least he doesn't have to get a stent put in yet, so that's good.

Also in non medical news, one of our upstairs neighbours moved out and left all her stuff behind. I didn't really know her, her partner told us that she was really sick and in hospital, apparently she has gone to live with her parents and has given up the unit. For some reason, they didn't get her things so St George Housing cleared the unit out. They put a few pot plants out on the side of the road so Steve and I adopted them. They were just going to end up in landfill. Even though I did not know her that well, I hope she will be all right. I wonder why her parents did not get her clothes at least.

I am going to go and see the new Spider-Man movie tomorrow so I am stoked about that.

It's been pretty quiet lately because Steve can no longer work we have not been going away that much, that and Covid has pretty much killed our plans to go interstate. We are looking at next year, hopefully, the hellbeast that has been the pandemic may be under control by then.
We are both still volunteering which is great but I worry because Steve gets so tired so quickly these days. His jerking has gotten worse as well so even when he is sitting, he is still moving. Dystonia really sucks. Still, he is very positive and cheerful even though I see him struggling and in pain. He hates not being able to work, but at least he has the volunteering so there's that.

Well now that Steve can no longer work because of his dystonia, knee replacement, and second knee replacement looming, he has taken to volunteering with me at the community social centre where I have been volunteering for a while now. He has taken to it like a duck to water. He greets the clients and manages to help with the equipment. Because Of Covid, we have to deep clean everything and Steve is so good at it. Of course, his dystonia starts to kick in and he has to take a break but the staff are all wonderful. They understand that he is struggling with a horrible neurological disease. I am still trying to get him an NDIS package but with this shitty government, it's so geared against people who a living with serious disabilities. Morrison is talking about an early election and I would love to see his flabby arse booted out of Parliament House but until Murdoch turns up his toes, he will probably get back in. Also, Zuckerberg has made good on his threat and is no longer allowing Facebook to post links to Australian news services. God, this government has no idea of the shitstorm they have created. still, it's amusing to watch everyone melting down about it. What will be interesting is if Google packs up as well, maybe that will shake everyone out of their apathy and take to the streets to get rid of this government once and for all. Sorry, I did not intend for this to become a political rant, but lately, things have taken a turn for the farcical.

I haven't posted for awhile and I thought I would write just a quick catchup one.
Not much happening here although I nearly got another job last week.
I was approached by the manager of another label who wanted to to work for her four days a week. I accepted and was going to put my resignation in to work. However, the manager told me not to quit my job as she decided to only offer me a couple of days instead.

Okay, I agreed. Her explanation was that the owner and designer of the label is notoriously difficult and tends to fire people on a regular basis.
She didn't want me to quit my job in case things did not work out and I agreed. I didn't want to end up with no job at all.
Only it turns out that because the concession store is within the dept store it would be a conflict of interest so I couldn't accept the other job.
Damn.
It would have been perfect but alas, not to be.
Still I still have this job and now perhaps the managers might put me on permanent part time after all.
Fingers crossed. :-)
