Steve and I are snuggled up at home, waiting for a massive storm to hit. Right now, we are getting heavy rainfall and plenty of wind. The meteorologists are calling it a bombogenesis, which sounds scary enough. I am a little worried about the stuff we have stored in the garage, as it is under the unit block where we live. Hopefully, we won't get flooding down there.

I am finally getting over all the damned illnesses. This winter so far has been a write off for me. My son will be traveling to Queensland soon to start his new job, and I want to spend some time with him before he goes. So far, I have been so sick that we have hardly gone anywhere. I still have a couple of weeks before he leaves, so hopefully we can go out for lunch and a couple of drinks.

I hope everyone is having a great week.

The temperature has definitely dropped in the last couple of weeks, and we have had so much rain. I have spent the last couple of weeks inside. I have pretty much recovered from the surgery, but I now have Bronchitis. The doctor gave me some antobiotics but I still feel like crap. I have to go back to him on Monday. I am just hoping it hasn't gotten worse. I am worried that it could be pneumonia.

Everything else has been ticking along. I missed two school events for my grandkids because I have been ill. I have promised to make it up to them, though.

One good thing, I have been binge watching the latest Harley Quinn and The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy. I love these shows.

That's pretty much it. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

I have been enjoying the warmer Spring weather but I am bracing for when Summer really hits. Bushfires have already been breaking out so it is going to be a bad season this year.

Not much has been really happening. I have started watching the new season of Loki and so far it looks good. I don't know if I will go back to Secret Wars though, there is only so much dour Marvel I can take. Other than this, nothing much has been happening and that is the way I like it. No drama, just peace and quiet. Hopefully, it will stay like this for a few more days, Fingers crossed.

It's Sunday and it's the first day Steve and I have actually been able to have a day at home. Yesterday I went to Campbelltown to the movies with one of my daughters and grandkids, we saw Elemental which was much better than I thought it was going to be. It was a nice change from all the medical appointments and therapies for Steve. He didn't come out with me, kids movies are not his thing so he spent the day doing some stuff he wanted to do. The weather has turned really cold now so the barbecues and picnics are changing to baked dinners and pub lunches.

I have also been going to the movies, I have seen Spider-Man Across The Spiderverse which was excellent, and also The Flash which I loved. Shazam 2 and Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 were also fun. It certainly is a good time to be a geek.

Speaking of which, I am not going to SupaNova and Oz Comicon this year as the ticket prices have soared and I decided I would rather spend the money on comics and collectibles these days. The downside of being retired I guess.

Well, that has been my week so far. If I get time, I will try to do some Geeky Girl posts, but things have been so hectic with all of Steve's appointments. I also want to do some reviews on older, more obscure movies as well, I am been finding some on Youtube and Tubi.

Have a great well everyone.

It doesn't really feel like summer at the moment here. It has been cool and rainy for the last couple of days. The night before last we had a huge thunderstorm that lasted for ages. I love thunderstorms, especially at night when I am lying in bed. I was a bit worried about a couple of trees, the wind was so strong, I was worried that they were going to come down. They didn't though, thank goodness.

I spent Wednesday catching up with an old friend I used to work with. We had lunch in the city and visited our old workplace to see a couple of friends that still work there. She also bought a lovely Thin Lizzy lip set for me which was so sweet. I love Thin Lizzy but it's so expensive so I rarely buy it for myself.

Steve and I are going to visit my sister from another mister for a belated Boxing Day lunch. She had to postpone it as they all came down with Covid. They are all negative now though so it's back on. Other than all this, nothing much has been happening. I do hope we get some good weather for our trip to Melbourne next week though.

I usually love the rain but this has gotten ridiculous. There was flash flooding everywhere and our underground garages were swimming pools. Finally, it stopped and now we can slowly start to dry out. My heart goes out to those that were flooded out, so many homes destroyed. I know what it's like to be through a flood as it happened to me many years ago and I lost nearly everything. As much as I love the rain, it's nice to see the sun again.
