Carer Expo
12/11/23 11:51Steve and I went to the Carer Expo at the Convention Centre in Darling Harbour. It was pretty good but not as big as I though it was going to be. The Disability Expo at Homebush was bigger with more stands. This was still worth going to as it helps us find out what is available for aged and people with disabilities. We did get some good information and some ideas as to what is available.
After that, we went to our favourite pub for lunch. Cheers always does a great lunch. Steve had the chicken schnitzel and I had the spaghetti bolognese. After that, we headed home and what an eventful journey that was. We boarded a tram to take us to the train station. As I was taking my seat, the tram lurched and I lost my footing and nearly ended up hurtling onto the floor. I managed to catch myself, but I have a couple of good sized bruises to show for it. Then as Steve and I were boarding the train, the front wheel on his walker fell off into the tracks. We finally got home with no further incidents thank god.
Today we are resting up as the rest of the week is going to be busy as usual. I will be going to see the Marvels when I get a free day.
