Trip To Goulburn

ladymidathI enjoy going to Goulburn, it is a few hours away, but the drive is gorgeous. I spent the day with three of my grandkids. We took them to see Wonka which was okay, but nothing beats the original in my opinion anyway.
I did have a bittersweet moment with my two younger granddaughters. I have a couple of tattoos. One is a memorial tattoo for my son Jacob who died when he was only ten. The girls have an older brother who was named after his uncle. They thought it was for him and I tried to explain that it was for their uncle who was taken before they were born. I think they became a little confused so I let it go. They will understand when they are older but I hope they don't think Nana is playing favourites because I don't have their names tattooed on me.
It was a lovely day and the drive back was really nice. The weather has been scorching so I have been spending all my free time at the beach. This is the upside of living so close to the coast. I have to be honest though, this year I have really been feeling the heat and I am looking forward to Autumn and cooler weather.
