Okay, my review of Iron Man 3, Because of spoilers I am putting this under a
I was really hyped about Iron Man 3. I had loved the first two movies and I knew that this one was going to be good. I can tell you now, it did not disappoint.
Now I have to say, the film had me from the very start, the storyline was strong and moved along quite well. It was nice to see a flashback to Tony Stark's part days and it actually played an important part in the storyline.

It is a New Years Eve party in 1999, Tony has met Maya Hansen, (Rebecca Hall) inventor of Extremis, an experimental regenerative treatment intended to allow its users to recover from crippling injuries. They are approached by disabled scientist Aldrich Killian, who offers them a place in his company Advanced Idea Mechanics, but Stark arrogantly rebuffs him. I have to say it was great to see Guy Pearce in the role of Killian, I thought he did a good job.
Now switch to present day, Tony Stark is suffering from anxiety, most probably PTSD from his encounter with the Chitauri and his near death experience. He has also built several Iron Man suits much to the displeasure Of Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow).

There has also been a string of terrorist attacks perpetrated by the Mandarin, (Ben Kingsley) a mysterious and shadowy figure. These attacks are causing global wide fear and it all comes to a head when When Stark Industries security chief Happy Hogan, (Jon Favreau)aught in one such attack, Stark overcomes his stupor and issues a televised threat to the Mandarin, who responds by destroying Tony's home with helicopter gunships. Pepper and Maya, who had come to warn Tony, survive the attack. Tony then finds himself in rural Tennessee after his artificial intelligence JARVIS follows a flight plan from Tony's investigation into the Mandarin. Tony's experimental armor lacks sufficient power to return to California, and the world believes him dead.
He then comes across Harley, (Ty Simpkins) a precocious 10-year-old boy who helps him investigate a bombing that took place in the town.
Now normally I don't like the 'cute kid' addition in these kind of films but Ty Simpkins was quite good and not all that annoying. I thought his character and Tony Stark worked quite well together.

I have to say that all up, Iron Man 3 is a great addition to the first two and I loved the fact that this was set after the events in The Avengers and showed the effects of what happens after fighting an alien invasion, flying through a worm hole and nearly dying has. It shows Tony Stark's human side but did not hurt the character or change him in anyway. If anything, his character is evolving rather than staying static. There is also action enough to keep everyone happy, also nice to see the Iron Patriot flown by as Col. James "Rhodey" Rhodes. (Don Cheadle )

I won't give anymore away, but for any fans of Iron Man and Marvel, this will be a treat. Oh, and be sure to stay after the credits, there is a brilliant bit right at the very end you won't want to miss.
