I had a wonderful day at Supernova yesterday. After a pretty rocky start, (I had my atm card stolen and $220.00 dollars was taken out.) I got there fairly early, it was raining so the Dome where it's held was packed, but that was okay. Not as many cosplayers this year, but that might have been because the weather was so bad.
It was great though, I managed to find a wonderful Harley Quinn figure, plus a Poison Ivy and a Scarecrow. I wanted to buy the Joker and Lex Luthor but thanks to the bastard that stole my card, I didn't have enough. I also managed to buy a V for Vendetta mask, a Crow Eric Draven figure and A Ryuk from Deathnote as well. I found a great Predator figure to go with my Alien figure so that's complete. Until a get a Prometheus figure as well. LOL
As well as some comics, I did really well. I had to go on my own this year as my eldest daughter and her husband had to work, my other kids couldn't come and to be honest they really aren't that interested in comics and figures. I am the geek in the family. :-D
All up, it was a terrific convention, it had some good guests this year as well. Carrie Fisher, plus several dwarves from Lord Of The Rings.
I don't really go for the autographs, they are too expensive and honestly, for me, the money is better spent in comics and figures, stuff like that.
I think this might be the last year that I will be going to the Sydney con and I am really going top miss that, so I wanted to make it special. Next is Smash, a manga and anime con held in August, so I will be going to that as well.
